I purchased the gps unit for a backountry motrcycle ride through New Mexico. It was primarily off road and there was mostly no cellular signal. With the gps unit our groups family and friends could track us. It worked well and gave everyone peace of mind. My dad lives out of country and tracked us. He even told me what elevations we camped. I will re-activate for our next trip.
