Hold the tracker next to your iPhone and tap Connect. Give it a name and it appears on your map.
Stick it in your wallet
Peel the adhesive backing and press it flat inside the bill compartment. That is it, you are tracking.

No. The PB714 is a one-time purchase. It does not use a cellular data plan, so there is nothing to renew.
Yes, in the bill compartment. The PB714 is 3.75 by 2.57 inches, about the footprint of a folded bill, and 1.5 mm thin, about the thickness of two credit cards. It weighs 10 grams. It is larger than a card slot, so stick it flat inside the bill section, a passport sleeve or a luggage tag.
Open Find My on your iPhone and tap your wallet in the Items tab. You will see its last known location on the map, reported by nearby Apple devices in the Find My network. If it is close, tap Play Sound and follow the chime.
About six months of everyday use. The battery is sealed, so there is nothing to charge or swap. When it runs out, drop the tracker in your electronics recycling and stick on a fresh one. You can switch it off with the button if you want to save it for a trip.

An AirTag is a round disc 8 millimeters thick and needs a holder. The PB714 is 1.5 millimeters thin with an adhesive back, so it goes inside the wallet itself. Both use the same Apple Find My network. The AirTag has a replaceable coin cell; the PB714 has a sealed battery that lasts about six months.
Yes. Find My uses end-to-end encryption. Apple devices that relay your wallet's location cannot see it, and neither can LandAirSea.
